XnViewMP is a free image viewer than you can also use to edit and convert images to many formats. In addition to saving individual files, the program allows you to save your session before exiting. Double clicking files opened them in their native applications. We could also view text files in the same place when we clicked on them. Apart from organizing image files, the program allowed us to preview some videos on the lower middle section of the program interface. The Explorer type of navigation made it easy to access files in different locations. The program also allows you to save time due to its fast performance and caching ability. The ability to work with many files helps in saving time when organizing images. The free image converter allowed us to convert either single files or a batch of images simultaneously. We were able to set delay period in seconds or use a hotkey to capture the selected section, and the program immediately displayed the result in the editor. Nothing, anywhere seems to see it, but documentation says that PNGs support metadata within Blender. I've searched for the computer name, for a note field, and tried to create a not field in Premiere. However, in every application I've tried, from Windows, to Photoshop to Premiere to Adobe Bridge, nothing can find that metadata. Luckily (or so I thought) I edited the metadata fields within Blender on each computer to put the name of that computer in the metadata, specifically in the note field for each PNG.
So every 5th frame or so is slightly inconsistent from the rest (different lighting, different hair particle configuration). Reason: I rendered an animation on 5 computers using the non overwrite/placeholder method, but unfortunately on one computer I loaded the wrong version of the file (doh!). Has anyone had luck reading metadata saved in Blender PNGs in Adobe products, or for that matter, any other products?
